Full day today.
A little disappointed that my laptop running Lubuntu won't talk to my printer/scanner. On the other hand, I did download the current Debian distro, so tomorrow we'll see how that goes. Not a biggie - the netbook plays with both printers - just something I wish had worked out of the box, is all. I love the look of the LXDE desktop, nice and clean.
My internet is getting spottier than the chicken pox. I have no idea what is causing it, and I rebooted everything like they said in their maintenance advisory. *scratches head* Guess I'll try again tomorrow.
On the other hand, I didn't miss the Internet much. I had the radio on nearly the whole day, and it made the process of bringing order out of chaos a little easier in the summer heat. The warehouse look is working very well in the room; it's not much on glamour, but it is definitely working.
Mr. Upholstery Man came to figure out how to restore glory to our very dated sofa set, and things have been settled to the satisfaction of all. Noel the Handyman - now the relieved father of a new high school graduate - will first work on restoring the wooden parts, then we'll have new upholstery in. More pictures to spam Facebook with!
For the better part of the day someone has been having a fiesta with a lovely sound system. I know it's a good one because the lyrics to all the songs are floating as clear as day over the neighborhood. It boggles the mind...
I had a nap. Yes, I managed to sleep in this weather!
Finished my laundry, too. My goodness, I feel positively righteous.
