Oh my stars...it is *so* good to have the internet back after not having it for a month! Now the question is, how to get various apps working again.
I bet you all thought I was reaching the end of home repairs, right? I guess it depends on how you look at things. We have a working circuit breaker, running hot water, and a washing machine that works. All good. But now we have to re-tile the work counter in the dirty kitchen (the food prep area) because at some point in time the grout crumbled and...creatures... took up residence under the tiles.
Nothing for it but to remove the tiles, wash down the surfaces with hot water and PineSol, then remove some more tiles. Bought supplies at the hardware store on EDSA where they are beginning to consider me a regular customer. Then today I bought the tiles at the brand new Wilcon near our village.
Dear life, but that is a place to make you wish you had won the lotto. All the pretty things! From the brands of my childhood to fancy shmancy stuff. In all my delirium I remembered to also get new LED light bulbs and sealant. I also remembered the husband patiently waiting while I rambled through three floors of all the hardware supplies in the world. Though I doubt those kinds of emporia could replace the smaller stores along EDSA...
Got cat food and various eats at a smaller Andok's, then home. Looking back, life turned out all right. Even the power outage yesterday didn't seem so bad, though there was s moment when we had the genset running but no power to the house - the switch to feed power to the breaker was still off. *facepalm*
Today I started taking the new medicine that replaces my insulin shots. Joyful thanks for this! The medicine also acts as a diuretic, which will help in keeping my weight down. Whee!
So I guess life gets back to normal? Christmas is a-coming and there are Things. To. Do. I'll get by...God loves me, of that I am sure. Every day I am learning how much I can handle and let the rest go. Grace sufficient to the day and all.
