So my first tablet finally bit the dust, and for a moment there I felt like saying "Alas, poor Yorick! I knew him well, Horatio..." It certainly had a long and useful life, and I am not in any particular hurry to get a new one. Not with the variety of choice around, anyway.

Besides, I have an old mobile phone that is doing just fine for the internet -primarily FB and Twitter- so I really won't be missing it when I'm out. For home use there is my trusty netbook. So I'm good.

Came through the recent storm rather well. All the rain that came down, was not a typhoon but a tropical storm, believe it or not. As expected, flooding everywhere. What I wasn't expecting was the goodly crowd in the mall when I decided to make a quick run for cat food and other stuff. Who would have thought? The weather was awful out.

But there you go. The cats were not happy about the rain curtailing their movements, though Qbie, bless him, has been showing up as usual. Poor Patpat got into a fight with Miko and has been feeling low, hiding under the stairs and limping out for meals. Poor baby! He comes up for cuddles and is quite stoic about having antibiotic cream applied, but he's always been good that way. He's coming back to his normal self, though.

Dad finally fixed up his pension paperwork. It was a process made longer than it had to be by conficting instructions. Oh, the humanity! Those on FB know most of the saga - the process took one entire working day! On Monday he has to go back and go through a whole different process for a different set of benefits, aiya!

Government. It can be such a pain.

So basically I have tomorrow organized. All I need do now is sleep. G'night, all.
