Just to let the reading public know, I am still here, just caught up in life. I miss journaling...
Highlights thus far:
>> I lost two cats to illness. Bunnet had fluid in his lungs, which the vet managed to get most of; he was responding to medication, but then got out of the house and spent the night in the rain and it was all downhill from there. He used to climb in my lap and pat my cheeks with his paws...and I miss him. Still grieving, but I'll get through it.
Junie I nearly ran over after registering the Avanza. Luckily stopped in time, brought her to the vet, then home, where she was a delightful thing. She caught a bug and never fully recovered, and passed away at the vet. Poor darling was only a month and a half old.
>> It was when settling the vet bills and making arrangements that I asked if we could adopt the two kittens we met while Bunnet was confined. The vet saw no problem with it, and so Santino and Agniella are ours now, helping to ease the loss of our two darlings. They are lively and healthy and loving - I hope they were given healthy to the vet and not abandoned in the street like Junie.
>> I fried one of my cheap tablets by connecting it to the wrong adaptor. :p Ah well, it was the weird one that wouldn't connect to my previous home WiFi router; though it could connect to my two portable Wifi routers, go figure. I changed the home router and was going to see if I had better luck with that, but now I'll never know. *shrug* Oh well, at least I have a spare, a netbook, and a laptop. Nothing to complain about there, obviously.
>> The drawers of my old bed have been repurposed into a proper storage unit with additional shelves, using the parts of the old bed from that could be recycled. I love it. All that's left is to populate it and figure out how to organize the office space.
>> Reorganized the bedroom - again, yes. I seem to have more space with the same bits of furniture, don't ask.
And so on and so forth. The next two weeks will be interesting, what with doctor visits and lab test and dad wanting to fix up his money matters yet again. I'll see what can be done about posting then.
