So the typhoon came and went, and another one on the way. The monsoon season is on an extended run; usually at this time of year, the chilly weather sets in and the typhoons have, for the most part, left us alone. Climate change, folks, there's no denying it.
Yesterday was a good day, if somewhat confused. I blame PMS. Started out at the bank to deposit the coins from my piggy bank, all one thousand pesos worth of it. *satisfied smile* That's about maybe six months of coins, all sorted out.
Also, took out money to pay bills at the other bank. Which due to time and circumstance, didn't happen yesterday. But at least I'm ready.
Then I had to zip over to the WOMFI office to sign stuff and catch up on the news.
By the time I finished, it was lunch time. Ramon and I had it at Pizza Hut Glorietta, which was an interesting experience. They have a new menu, which is good. The choices are interesting. However, that day their supplier of the ingredient for several menu offerings failed to deliver, rendering most of the menu items unavailable.
That's not so bad, really, if the customer is apprised of the situation BEFORE they order. But to make a menu choice, be told it's not available; then make another choice and be told it's not available; then another choice and be told that's not available as well...it is exasperating. Not to mention the server had to consult the kitchen at every step.
I actually invented a spiel for my hubby on the spot: "I'm sorry to say that some items are not available because of delivery problems; these are your options from the regular menu. We also have these items from our new menu available." I would have been induced to return, just to see what I missed, with a notice like that.
Anyway, it was a delicious lunch. But we may stick with Bacolod Chicken next time. :)
After lunch, Ramon went to Landmark to wait for me, while I looked at the display at CD-R King first. Got the bags from the car and caught up with him, after stopping by that new ice cream and coffee stall near the parking lot entrance. Their ice cream is good. So's the coffee.
It was possibly the shortest walkthrough of the supermarket ever. In and out in record time!
Then dropped off clothes at the laundry service, got Ramon's meds, went home. Not bad.
