• Thu, 13:00: Well. I have just dispatched two maids in the space of 24 hours. One peaceably, the other...not so peaceably.
• Thu, 13:02: People who know me well, know that for me to maise my voice in anger is so rare as to be unheard of.
• Thu, 13:03: But when the maid uses the clean sheet from her bed to lay out her stuff for inspection? Increase in decibel level, people.
• Thu, 13:05: And in the space of time she was in the house, she did NOTHING, literally, beyond what she was directly told to do.
• Thu, 13:08: Oh, and she was sassy in answering Ma. Big BIG mistake.
• Thu, 13:15: So when she talked back to *me* (and it's my first day) all hell broke loose. My dad was impressed, and that's saying a lot.
• Thu, 13:26: suffice to say the other maid got an eyeful, even though it was only part one. Ramon enjoyed the show. :)
• Thu, 13:35: The tart actually dared me to call the police. Pity I didn't take her up on the offer and call village security.

If I ever get a maid, Id prefer one that just comes in at a certain time then leaves. The Sims had it right.

My sentiments exactly! It would be far better to have a cleaning service - of which there are one or two in Makati, charging by the hour, minimum.

Thing is, the elders need someone else besides the cook to look after them. So here we are.

All I want is a person of common sense and a little bit of initiative. But common sense is far from common, as we both know.

Seems our family ran out of those relatives a while ago. :) They have a pretty good record of making good for themselves - and the hard-luck ones are of a type not to be permitted in a respectable household. *grin*

We're surviving. Do the cook good to get away from the phone pals for a bit. *LOL*
