(no subject)
well, i'm still here - the neighborhood is a wee bit waterlogged, but by and large we got through things rather well.
by "things" i actually mean more than just the recent typhoon. at the moment my room looks like the typhoon went through it, but...there's a new electric fan, and that makes things a whole lot better. *smile* the old fan? it's in the previously fanless office space (that i WILL clean and organize hopefully before my time on earth is up, i've been saying it so long).
anyhow. i ought to make a list of the things that happened and just do one entry on each thing, or people following my journal will run off screaming into the night. *smile* topics include:
- the genset battery dying
- a new maid coming and going in the space of 1.5 days (yes, you read that right - we have a new one as of today)
- parent's wall clock succumbing to planned obsolescence
- acquired/installed new water dispenser (did i mention this already? must check)
- ramon smelled something off in one of the wall outlets; it took the better part of a day to figure out it was the small fridge (short version: we are okay, and plans have been made)
- Qbie, Pebbles, and Miko have been regular visitors. Mochi i haven't seen for a bit, but I'm sure he'll be around shortly.
life had gone on pretty well, by the look of it. i have had naps! i have bought stuff! (am making a determined effort to take care of myself) i just need a wee bit more rest and normalcy for a spell, and things will move forward again. right now, i'm just glad if they move. *grin*
