Argh. Just when I'd gotten out of my bedtime shower, I had to clean up something. Blargh. However, that's over and done with, and I can enjoy feeling clean and soft now.
I have discovered body scrubs! Well, maybe not so much discovered, as re-discovered. After having had a foot spa recently, I wondered if maybe I could scrub myself down at home in-between day spa visits, to keep the softness longer. And truthfully, the amount of dead skin that comes off during the scrub portion of the foot spa is embarrassing, really. So I got myself a pot of Asian Secrets Lulur Scrub to test the theory.
I think I've developed a new habit. *grin* Since I've resolved to take better care of my skin whenever possible, I've been trying out stuff like facial masks and body scrubs and using liquid soaps and body bars. My skin is probably singing songs of praise for the sudden attention. *grin* Have been liking the scrub experience so far. I have discovered that using liquid soap to rinse off the scrub particles feels like silk on skin. So this could be a beautiful thing.
Bought a couple of bottles of Castile soap at Healthy Options, because I remembered from childhood all these articles about how good it was. Am using up my current facial wash so I can finally pop open the bottle.

Our Budi had a very bad case of constipation, making visits to the vet a necessity. First she we brought her in for an enema, but it didn't do much good as the stuff was really packed in. No results despite the discomfort of the enema and two days of giving Lactulose. So back to the vet and another enema, (with slightly better results) and more Lactulose. Then the other day while giving her her medication, I noticed the sign of dehydration - and so off to the vet AGAIN, and another two enemas. These were more successful (the vet was offering the option of confining Budi overnight for the dehydration, but ehhhh), and that night at home she shifted all the gunk (the kitchen smelled horrible, but Budi was bright-eyed and somewhat grumpy, so yay!). That last visit to the vet, they gave her subcutaneous fluids - the cat equivalent of Dextrose, I guess.
After all the toxic waste was ejected, Budi slept well - I shouldn't wonder, she has had a hard time of it lately. Have been force-feeding her a/d, and she's not happy with that, obviously. However, she's socializing again and tonight she ate a few shreds of fish. She'll do, I hope. I guess she just wants to give her tummy a rest. Tomorrow she goes back to the vet for subcutaneous fluids, and hopefully the news will be good.
. . .
Tomorrow Ramon goes for his blood extraction. The general itinerary is: hospital, breakfast, bank/bills stuff, home for lunch, bring Budi to vet. Pick up soft drinks for Ma's merienda.
. . .
Suddenly I'm tired. The bath must be taking effect. Off to bed now.
