(no subject)

I have finally found the perfect time for evening prayers: after bedtime bath and before going online to catch up with e-mail, feeds, and blogs. This will be good for my soul over Lent, I think.

Today I decided to forgo the dramafest that is requesting Dad for the grocery budget, and set out to enjoy myself. The trip to Cash and Carry very nearly detoured to Tagaytay, but the thought of Ramon's medicines and cat supplies put a stop to that. But the notion is just on hold, mind you. I have a yearning to get up there someday.

Instead, the highlight of the day was watching the latest installment of the Die Hard franchise. Bruce Willis still has the moves, bald though he is. But honestly, I think they ought to put the franchise to bed. Ramon was disappointed that Bonnie Bedelia didn't at least make a cameo appearance - I mean, we got McClane pere et fils, and the McClane daughter. But no Mrs.? Aw, shucks. And she was such an ass-kicker in the second movie.

I did get the maid's supplies in addition to the cats' needs and various little things. So that was all right.

I can see that I will be in servitude to the banking system a while longer. However, life will improve. At least this time, I have a clearer head with which to make calculations, as opposed to the soul-crushing tensions of previous times. Plus, I continue to believe that something better is around the corner. So there. *grin*

Oh, speaking of movies. The trailer for the Alfredo Lim biopic is out, with the movie either showing now, or about to be. As Lim is incumbent Mayor of the City of Manila, and in the running for re-election, and since the campaign period has begun - isn't this some sort of illegal?
Or if not, it certainly smacks of free campaigning. Or maybe I'm just a fuddy-duddy who thinks the timing of the movie is off. *shrug*

Yayz, I saw all the transit passengers today: Qbie, Mochi, and Pebbles all checked in. Qbie had the morning shift, Mochi the afternoon, and Pebbles the night shift. All are well-fed and look like kings of their respective hills. *happy*

Yup. Today was good. Tomorrow will be equal or better.

Haha, nice to know old Brucie is still worth the watch.

As for Bonnie, I guess she had the most sense out of any of them. (she didnt show up for diehard 2 onwards if I remember, she was just a voice on the phone i think).
