(no subject)

Yesterday was a busy day, no wonder I felt rather beat up by the end of it. Started with hubby's appointment with Dr. Gatmaitan. Good news, the blood test results came out well; so well that the doctor was moved to remove hubby's Diamicron and reduce the dosages of his Lasix and Lanoxin. Also, no blood extraction for next month's appointment - this makes hubby very happy, not to have his arm meddled with at the path lab.

Then Dad calls up in the middle of the doctor's appointment to say that there are no lights at home. Was not surprised, I saw the Meralco (power utility monopoly) truck in one of the streets near the house, trimming tree branches. So per instructions, went home, turned on the genset, taught the maid how to turn off the genset. Went to the Meralco folks and asked if our not having lights had anything to do with the new power cables they were putting up. Getting an affirmative reply, I relayed the information at home that the power would be on around 3pm.

Collected the old palms from last year's Palm Sunday, and turned them in to the good people at Santuario San Antonio. Got money from the money machine at Plaza San Antonio across the way.

Went to Glorietta for lunch - we were starving, hubby and I. Parked at Glorietta 2, aka New Glorietta, underground parking. Went to the 2nd floor and after rambling down the halll, we settled on trying out Army Navy Burgers. Verdict: I like the burgers and the burritos, but wouldn't want to eat there again unless someone else was footing the bill. *shrug*

Went to SM Makati. First stop, Watson's, for Dad's fiber supplement. (He reimbursed me, for which I give thanks!) Second stop, supermarket, for chibikin kitty food. A whole assortment of Fancy Feast (5 + 1 offer, six variants per box, six boxes, I think), Sheba, Friskies, and Whiskas pouches. Needless to say, the brats are happy.

Last stop of the day was Citibank, to pay a credit card bill via ATM.

Then home, where my head started buzzing, and my muscles started aching. It wasn't until I started listing down all the things I had been doing, that I realized why I was so tired.

Made up for it today, though. Started the laundry at six, after feeding Qbie breakfast. He actually came back for seconds an hour later, with his "I am so cute that you cannot help but give me kibble fresh from the container instead of this stuff that has already seen the air" look. *g* Of course, being the fond mother that I am, I indulged him. (Probably why the good Lord did not give me children. Imagine what brats they would have been! LOL)

Had a bath and breakfast, sorted through e-mail, back read LJ and DW and Facebook. Took a nap and woke up just in time for my telenovela and lunch. Continued laundry through the telenovela and lunch - the last load went in just as lunch ended. Took ANOTHER nap, and woke up in time to clean the litter pans. Had a pre-dinner shower, then set up the TV so parents could watch the news. Refilled cat bowls, fed them dinner. Everyone's inside who should be inside, and life is good.

Tomorrow the gardener comes, and we will see what I can get done. *g*

Thanks for saving me the trouble of trying Army Navy. I do want to try Brothers Burger again though.

The regulars dont like dry whiskas or friskies. :(

Army Navy is the kind of place where the food tastes really good if you're very hungry, or if someone else is footing the bill. I think one gets better value at Mexicali - I liked that place when it was in the old Glorietta 2. It's just across the hall from Army Navy. *g*

My brats are omnivorous for the most part. Though their first choice is Fancy Feast. But if you put Whiskas or anything else in front of them, they will eat it. According to the web pages I've come across, wet food is the best for a cat. Then the high-end kibble like Science Diet, Royal Canin, etc. Buti pa sa America, ang daming variety ng food - no wonder the cats are soooo fat. @.@

I saw Whiskas described as junk food for cats. That depressed me for a while - but on the other hand, the cats are happy and healthy, and so we continue. *g*

Yeah I know about the junk food thing, so is Smart Heart they say. But even the governement approved junk food for humans because any food is better than no food.

I just need something always there to tide them over while Im gone. But if even junk food gets snubbed... haaay...
