Apparently doing a brain dump was just what I needed as a catharsis. As a result, this morning was devoted to the pursuit of cleanliness; I did the week's laundry and in a fit of energy, I gave the bedroom a general cleaning.
The cleanup was one of those things where I started by vacuuming the bed, and ended up moving furniture around little by little until I cleared the room for a thorough sweeping and vacuuming. Modular shelving was emptied of its contents and dusted. Contents were inventoried and various objects sent out to the laundry for cleaning or disposal.
Kittehs were all agog at the sound of the vacuum cleaner. At first all of them dashes out of the room, and then one by one, the braver ones among them took turns peeping in while the noise was going on. Walker and her family quickly decided that if Parpar was calmly typing away on his computer, there
was nothing to worry about, and settled back into their usual positions on the bed.
Final result: bedroom furniture rearranged yet again, bed vacuumed and fresh linens installed. Various throw pillows FINALLY laundered. Clean floors. Room looks like a human habitat again.
Took a nice hot shower before lunch, and it was absolutely decadent to feel clean again! Caught most of Iron Man 2. Am now wondering if the theme from the old cartoon ever made it into the movie as a cameo theme, the way the theme from the The Saint TV series did in the movie.
Spent the afternoon walking Paddycat about on his leash and harness. He seems quite comfortable with it now. Am looking for another harness for Pickles so she can have a go at walking around outside.
Bedtime. Tomorrow is July, I'll see you then.
