Had an afternoon nap that was far too short, before making a quick run to Cartimar for Aristocat tins. Got two each of the 7 variants (three more than Whiskas offers, and five more than Friskies), and the whole lot cost Php 770. 14 cans of Whiskas costs Php 62/can, so a total of Php 868. Total savings = Php 98. That's pretty big.

Did some research and apparently Aristocat is pretty popular in Singapore, as a budget brand. I'm good with it as long as the brats are good with it, and so far so good. They are loving the Smart Heart like they've never seen kibble before, which bodes well for the future. Got the salmon variant, 1.5kg at Php 130/kg so total of Php 195. Compared to 1.3kg at Php 230/bag of Meow Mix or Friskies or Whiskas, savings of Php 35 with 200gms extra.

So I can switch the brats over completely to Aristocat and Smart Heart, and just get Fancy Feast and about half the amount of Whiskas pouches from the supermarket and Pet Express (which will still be my go to place for coco litter). This makes me feel lighter.

I have a backlog of LJ comments that need answering. Will try doing some tomorrow.

Was like a kid in a candy store when I first saw the place. I go to the feed stores in the dry goods area, with the frontage along the parking strip, rather than the ones in the Pet Center proper. Can't miss 'em if you ever go down that way; They are between the rice dealers and Winterhouse tailoring.

Qbie checked in this morning and demolished 75% of a single Aristocat can. O.O Wowza.

well, Qbie was only ever interested in Kibble till recently. as long as the little prince eats whatever he likes, he'll be fine.
