Managed to clean up the insect lamp in the garage and get it working. Now the insect lamp in the laundry area has died. *sigh*
Cleaned the bulbs in the long unused security lamp in the garage, and the glow much clearer now. The challenge will be to get just the right angle so that the sensor is troggered consistently.
Ma and I decided that we're going to let the TV setup stay until the unit reaches its last legs, at which point we will replace rather than repair. A decision heavily influenced by the fact that it will cost Php 9,640 for the replacement part, which will come in from Singapore and requires a 50% deposit up front. Add the nearly Php 1,500 labor fee. Add the Php 800 home service fee.
All told, cost of repair is nearly 25% - 50% of a new TV, depending on the make and model. Another Sony of course, as the service center is pretty much outside our Village back door, and their customer service has suited us fine over the years.
How to sell the old unit for scrap is a problem that will be dealt with when the time comes.
Ma and Cris are agreed that this June we'll have Cris come in every other week, and I will cajole Ma into walking every day for a total of 30mins at day's end.
Have reached the stage in my cycle where all I want to do is sleep, and not think. Preferably for 72 hours or until my period starts, whichever comes first. *wrinkles nose*
