The cable services are back on (after being out all night amd most of the day, what WAS that), but alas, Ma's TV has well and truly given up the ghost, as far as the picture is concerned. A call to the service center is in order.
Busy day:
* ran two loads of laundry
* called Carmina to arrange for the payment of the Innova insurance
* submitted resident info sheets to the barangay
* paid a credit card bill
* went to Pet Express MOA for coco litter
* went to Cartimar for Aristocat tinned food (Taiwan or China origin)
* went to Cash and Carry to get Korean Ginseng Tea for Ma and some meat and chicken; had merienda at Luk Yuen
Thankfully the traffic was smooth all the way. I timed it well, getting into and out of places just in time to avoid the rush hours. Especially with the Lady Gaga concert up at the SM Arena, and it right in front of Pet Express.
Got home to the usual blistering atmosphere. Managed to unwind, but I'm still not feeling the social vibe. I will be reading through as much of the blogs as I can, though.

Lots of people feeling the Gaga love showed up in cosplay mode at the concert, based on what I saw on the TV, and apparently she was much enjoyed. Local media actually asked a Senator for his thoughts on the controversy (!!!!!) and he said, "She's a famous artist, the concert is not televised, no one's being forced to watch it; don't like, don't watch." Gotta love the sense of that statement, y/y?
Which of course didn't stop the religious conservatives from holding prayer rallies and stuff like that. *sigh*
The whole thing was kind of overshadowed by the current impeachment trial of the Supreme Court Chief Justice, who was expected to take the witness stand that day; and also the American Idol finals, where all the Jessica Sanchez fans (yayz for half-Filipino parentage) are hoping she'll win. Heck, I hope she'll win, but there's no telling from American audiences. I thought for sure Elise would at least make it to the top four.
