my life = tl;dr

a lot has been going on, mostly money issues and issues with dad, and more often a combination of the two. the thought that i once hoped my life would be better than this often gets me into a blue funk, so i try not to dwell on that too much. back to one step a day, and focusing on the moment.

i do wish i could tranquilize my brain for a while, though. it could do with a rest from the circular thinking.

It's never too late you know. I think we have openings for european languages.

One of the German ones, whom they call Duchesa, looks very old, and they say she doesnt even need to work.

*hugs* Thank you for the suggestion. Just what is it you do?

I must say that I'm not all that fluent in my foreign languages any more, though.

Editing English documents, now that's my real strength. If I could take in work that lets me edit stuff at home, then that would do, considering my previous experience working in a corporate environment.

*shrug* Still have to sort out a lot of things. But you can email me at srivaulx at gmail dot com if you want to drop me some more info or tips. I trust Dewey is doing all right? I haven't checked LJ in ages, am going to start later tonight.

We translate financial stuff, though half of the time we weed out what's not needed.

If your foreign stuff is like Italian or Spanish it couldnt be so hard to brush-up right?

If it's home based you want, there're lots flying around, though might take some commitment. http://www.translatorscafe.com/ if you want to go freelance.

Dewey is alright, though me at work for hours is taking its toll. It's AC and the kittens that are MIA. Realizing that your kawawa uncle is not worth your awa is almost as sad as failing my responsibility to the cats.

It's been *ages* since the Spanish was trotted out. Thank you very much for the link to translatorscafe.com; will check it out.

Re AC and the kittens: try not to hit yourself too hard about it. (Yes, easier said than done. Been there, done that.) You tried to do your best for them, and the rest is totally out of your hands. Alas that we do not have magic wands to protect the small creatures!

Re Dewey: here's to his continued flourishing till the house and yard comes along.

Re uncle: *hugs* Time to take a deep breath or five, and work on distancing, maybe.

*hugs* Thank you. That helps a lot.
