Fwd: Monday, 12-September-2011 :: Event/s of the Day & Twitter Log
Event of the Day: 2nd stay at home day in a row, and having done laundry the day before, really felt like a lady of leisure. Renewed acquaintance with my desktop and downloaded some torrents. Pulled out the netbook and renewed acquaintance with that as well. Then took a nap that ate up most of the afternoon.
Have downloaded Tap Farm and X City to the Tabbie, and now am immersed in managing one slow-growing farm and one fast-growing city. I think I like the farm better - it's easier to leave alone for extended periods while the crops grow. *grin*
Isn't it sad about Andy Whitfield? So young, and just starting to be famous! I may have to rewatch Spartacus as a tribute.
Isn't it awful abou the fake Steve Jobs tweet? That ranks right up there with the fake 9/11 attack tweet from the hacked NBC servers - and seriously, if they find out who the perps of that piece of lunacy are, Alpha Centauri could not possibly be far enough to flee the righteous indignation. Just saying. I mean, why would people even want to do things like that at all, let alone "for the lulz". *gag*
Am thinking of doing laundry tomorrow, so as not to feel too indolent. Meantime, my body is appreciating the rest, and the cats are loving the stability of routine, poor wee babies. I have scheduled Biskwit and Pixie for spaying this Sunday - which means we need to be at the clinic at oh-my-why-thirty in the morning. But it will be worth it, to spare the darlings from future worries.
The Friday before, I bring Ramon to Makati Med for his monthly blood extraction. Please wish an expert lab tech upon him; it is bad enough to have a needle stuck into one every month, but when they miss the vein, this is not conducive to reducing stress. The Monday after, Dad and Ramon have their monthly check-up. Please think of me kindly as I manage to get through back-to-back early wake-up calls.
Dear Lord, if you could see fit to provide us with a driver at some point in the future, I would be so very grateful. This business of turning from a spring chicken to an old biddie hen can be quite tiring.
