Fwd: Tuesday, 23-August-2011 :: Event/s of the Day & Twitter Log

(Here's hoping the formatting of the tweets turns out right. Mouse was a bit heavy-handed on the delete and I had to copy/paste from my Twitter Archive Blog.)

Event of the Day: Finally, FINALLY, getting Pica and Walker spayed, and Baguette (one of Walker's daughters) too, before they get into any mischief. Had to get them to the spaying clinic by 7am, which meant waking up to bung the three girls into carriers and allow the other cats to have an early breakfast. Poor wee babes!

I'll say this much, the traffic along the South Superhighway at six in the morning was as light as anyone could wish for. It could have been a fluke, for all I know, but it was a good thing. Dropped off the bebehs, paid (Php700/cat), filled up forms, and then off we went, to pick up breakfast at McDonald's Greenbelt, put gas in the car and air in the tires, and then go home.

After demolishing breakfast, I do believe I started laundry. Yes, I did, because there's a basket of clean laundry on the dresser chair right now. Ramon's basket, two loads. Fell asleep after the first load, woke up in time for lunch. Texted the clinic at 1pm, was informed bebehs were ready for pickup. Huzzah! Traffic was also light on the way to the clinic the second time, which surprised me - but who was going to complain? The little darlings were all in varying stages of woozy. Baguette was already vocal, Pica was drowsy, Walker just wanted to sleep.

Of course, Ramon was so touched by Baguette that he let her out of her carrier, and what did she do but try to crawl under my feet while I was driving. *facepalm* Gaah, you can bet that I was *very* careful in traffic! Good thing Baggie decided to settle down under Ramon's chair until we got to Santuario! Picked up some ingredients for culinary experimentation, I played bad cop and bunged Baggie into her carrier, and we reached home without further incident. All were happy to get out of their carriers - as of this writing, Walker has taken refuge under the sofa to sleep, though she was sitting out in the open this morning. I understand that it takes up to three days for full recovery, so am trying not to act like a broody hen.

Baguette and Pica are eating regularly, though Pica is more inclined to sleep. Baguette was roaming all over the living room this morning, didn't understand why I wouldn't let her out with her siblings. *smile* Once Walker is back to normal, I'll schedule Biscuit for spaying, and that will be the last of my worries until Pickles has her kittens, and Pica's youngest kittens grow up enough so I can tell who is a girl. It will be a big load off my shoulders to have this finally done, let me tell you.

08:49 @ayeemacaraig now the real propaganda wars start, and it will be "he said, he said" all the way. #
08:50 Gaddafi is going to lead the rebels on a merry chase through Tripoli, IMHO. The man went from general to dictator, he must have a Plan B. #

08:54 Am beginning to wonder now if someday I can treat myself to a dedicated wifi tab. *eyes cross* keep the phone tab for mobile netting. #
08:56 Time to start saving up. :) but i'll always need the netbook for the scanner. Silly thing is a Windows loyalist. #
08:58 Anyhow, I've found it good policy to save money while thinking. Money in the bank is a nice thing. #
09:05 Ok, why are links to that "work at home mom makes $$$$" racket starting to pop up from otherwise non-spam accounts? #
09:09 Going to try and see if i can replicate netbook use on Tabbie. Will need a car charger soon. #
09:11 @ayeemacaraig thing is, rebels are amateurs. Experienced fighters would know not to celebrate till Gaddafi was in custody or strung up. #

Good God, Mr. Ramon! (facepalm) I was worried about White being vocal in the carrier too (for someone so sick), but not to that length!

It's not like Baguette was raising a rumpus or anything, more of, "Marmar? Parpar?" kind of sound. She was the first of the three to recover, I suppose being the youngest, she was more resilient.

Walker, much to my *great* relief, has come out of hiding and is lounging on the sofa. She's used her litter pan, and while not yet eating, is taking more of an interest in the world.

Exactly, no matter what, not in the car.

I dont know which is worst really, hiding but eating, or not hiding but not eating.

I would rather know where they are. I don't do hiding-from-marmar very well. *loving sigh*

So sweet. All of Walker's catlings (too big for kitten stage) decided to sleep in the sala, near their mama. Pica gets to stay in our room with her youngest for tonight. She seems well enough to go back to the kitchen tomorrow.
