Fwd: Monday, 15-August-2011 :: Event/s of the Day & Twitter Log

Event of the Day: Seeing off two of Pica's kittens to their new home with our fill-in gardener, and turning into a waterworks as a result. Ma also burst into tears when she realized we were giving them up; Ramon was as woeful as his heart condition would permit. It is not fair that just when kittens are old enough to be adopted out, one has already learned to talk to them and listen to them talk back...*sigh*

So I console myself with knowing that they are two of them together, they won't be lonely. (Though their mama is wondering if maybe the pair is still hiding in the house, and calls out for them every now and then, poor wee love.) Mang Martin will give them a good home, which is most important thing.

Spent the day in a blue funk, overcharged by hormones. Gah.

Ahhh, I'm sure they are going to good home but I know how you feel. It's so hard to give them up.

*Hugs you*

I noticed some LJ gifts that you left me that I don't remember seeing notifications for, a very belated but heart felt thank you.

Lots of love,
H.

No, it is not. :(

It's been a long time since I've had to give a kitten away. In fact, I don't ever remember giving kittens away; Dad has been known to sneak them out of the house while I wasn't looking, though. *sigh*

And there are the ones lost to misadventure, or just lost.

At least these two, I know will be loved and treated well. And when they are of age, I have high hopes that the rat population in Mang Martin's vicinity will drop dramatically. *grin*

*hugs* I'm sorry they had to leave so soon. I hope they'll do well in their new home.

At almost 12 weeks old, they were pretty much reaching the point where they had to be given away. They'll be all right, I trust our gardener to take good care of them.

He has a vested interest in making sure they love their new home, as the rat population in his area is, by his account, something nasty. It is to be hoped that when Orange and Sakki Jr grow up, they will keep the creatures in their proper place.
