Fwd: Thursday, 28-July-2011 :: Event/s of the Day & Twitter Log
Event of the Day: Today turned out to be the day of real resting - a day with absolutely nowhere to go, and nothing to do that needed rushing. Bliss! Managed a nap, even if it wasn't a Nap of Ages (TM), and came out refreshed all the same.
The gardner called up to apologize for not coming in today, because his mama died yesterday. :( Ma and I have agreed to give what we in the Philippines call abuloy, or a monetary gift to the bereaved, something to help defray the expense of the wake and burial. We'll hand it over when he comes in next Thursday.
Today was about sorting through and reorganizing the file system for travel documentation. I must say, having a filing cabinet whose status is current-dated is a great incentive for keeping the contents neat and updated as soon as it can be managed.
The phone banking lines came back online, and I was able to not only pay the huge-ass credit card balance, but also some of the other bills falling due this August. I can start breathing a wee bit easier for a while, woot!
As well, I did both my laundry and Ramon's. It is a blessing to have a fully-functional washing machine, yes it is!
