Fwd: Wednesday, 27-July-2011 :: Event/s of the Day & Twitter Log
Event of the Day: Ma had her physical therapy session, good thing the rain let up enough so that our Cris didn't get drenched. Then after I brought her to Alphaland, I swung past Rustan's Santuario to pick up kitty stuff and canned fish - our staple go-to menu when there's a typhoon about. All one needs is hot rice and a little imagination with the fish, and you are pretty much good to go. *grin*
As for the rest of it, it was a day of down time. Ramon totally made my morning by announcing that he felt the signs of the ominous "burbling" while I was asleep; he took one of his nitro pills and a full Lasix, and never bothered to wake me once the Lasix started doing its job - in short, pee. Lots and lots of pee at regular intervals, and an end to the "burbling". Cue my heart doing that skip-a-beat thing and thus forcing him to stay home when it was time to bring Cris to her jeepney stop.
Another Nap of Ages (TM) was had; then discovering that various services were down - like the phone banking hotlines. Both Citi and BPI, yo. And just when I was fussing about finally getting to pay off one of my huge credit card balances. Gah? Then LJ was down, which wasn't so much a surprise now as a minor wrinkle - not being able to read my Friends Page and comment was something I missed, since not everyone mirrors their journal on Dreamwidth.
But all things considered, it was good to stay home. I looked at the digital version of my calendar for July and it is absolutely peppered with things I had to do. August already has notations for things to pick up and things to do, like seeing to the registration of the Innova. Which now reminds me that I need to get a few numbers off Ramon's phone. See, when his phone used to be mine, I copied off all my contacts from my SIM into the phone. A fortunate event, since I was able to recover the contact for our cemetery caretaker that way. I need to review that list and see what other numbers I need, and transfer them off to Tabbie (which syncs to Google, which is as good a backup as any). Which now reminds me that I need to see how I can get a hard copy of the contacts list off either Tabbie or Google, just to be on the really safe side.
