Event of the Day: Went on a quick trip to Waltermart after lunch, to
pick up a little extra food for the chibling-cats/kittens. Along the
way, got Ma some pin money; ate at Pancake House; stopped at Japan Home
to get some stoneware bowls (great for rice and dad's oatmeal).

Got home before it started raining - not that it helped the humidity
very much. Pickles' kittens now sniffing around solid food, but don't
know what to do with them. I refer to them as the "chorizos" for the
moment, as that is exactly what they look like.

Ramon not happy about giving up two kittens to the gardener, but he
admits that we can't keep all of them. *hugs hubby*

Indeed, yes! His stated intention is that he wants the kittens to grow up to be good mousers - as apparently there is a rodent problem in his area. As the kittens' mother comes from a line that is known to terrorize all forms of insect and bird life in striking distance, I have every hope that the kittens will prove true to their heritage and keep the rodent population down.
