Event of the Day: The long overdue general cleaning of the office
space. First item of the day, dismantling the bed frame, something I
have been wanting to do for *ages on end* now. It's a single bed, one
of those DIY things, and it didn't take that long - about 30 minutes or
so. Had one of the maids dust all the pieces down, and they are now
stacked up neatly behind one of the cabinets.
(Note: the maids currently in residence get along like a house on fire,
and have divided the housework between them. They share cleaning and
cooking duties, and with minimal supervision. Life's good, so far.)
With the bed frame out of the way, the storage bins were dusted, the
floor swept to within an inch of its life and waxed; the wall behind the
bins was given a thorough wiping down. By the time the filing cabinet
and storage bins were returned to their new places (along with Dad's
clothes rack and stuff), I managed to acquire a much larger empty space
in the middle of the room. Trixie was a bit concerned about the
dismantling and reassembly of her eyrie, but she's content with the new
setup now. *glee*
I am very cautiously optimistic that I will be able to close an open
project or two within the next month or so. *crosses fingers*
