Event of the Day: Ayala Corporation stockholders meeting, lunch and malling at SM Makati, where I bought a new Nokia X2-01 for my Globe SIM card. The PLDT LL+ that used to live in the Cherry Mobile has transferred to the Samsung Champ. It is now much easier to read Twitter on the Nokia X2, though I have yet to make an Ovi account and things. Eventually, I guess. :)

08:43:18: Currently settled in Intercon's Grand Ballroom for Ayala Corp stockholders meeting.
08:45:10: JAZA and Fernando already here - they usually arrive early. More black suits than at ALI meet last week.
08:45:58: Am seated 3rd row beside the mic. Will have ringside seat for questions and prepared motions. :)
08:47:48: Sofia and Paxti Elizalde arrived. This is the meet where all the Zobel de Ayalas show up. Most impressive when meet starts.
08:55:14: Came prepared to this meeting. Walked into hotel in my crocs, then changed into dress shoes in the loo. Reverse process after meeting. :)
08:55:47: My feet hate leather shoes now, whut.
09:03:30: Natl anthem is the modern version. The other meeting used the historical version.
09:06:16: Minutes approved as written. Annual report begins: chairman's message. Oops, lights went down, someone thought it was AV time...
09:07:38: Audio is having hissy fits. Bet those in charge of logistics are now having kittens.
09:22:03: Audio vastly improved. Chair has finished his report, now it's the president's turn.
09:26:00: Hm. Looks like most of the family is on vacation. No sign of Don Jaime or Dona Bea today.
09:39:39: *meep* math symbols in slide onscreen. Do not like.
09:44:02: President concludes report. Now come audio-video presentation.
09:49:45: Very inspirng AV! Now the floor is open for questions pertaining to annual reporting. Mr. T breaks the ice as usual.
10:13:51: Oh dear, our bible thumper is evangelizing again...the Zobels are looking so polite, LOL!
10:15:42: And now it's the turn of the other windbag stockholder. Audience doing that *facepalm* kind of laugh.
10:16:07: Aray, ang lakas ng boses mo, ho...masisira ang loudspeakers. Araaay.
10:19:00: Haaay salamat. Motion to approve annual report seconded, carried.
10:25:17: Ratification of resolutions ongoing. And now here's someone with a question about free newspapers for stockholders?
10:28:34: Motion to approve resolutions has been seconded. Seconder wobbled all over so lots of prompting from audience. Carried!
10:31:42: Resoluton to increase capital stock on the table. Text being flashed on screen. Speed reading skills now in play.
10:33:04: Questions from the floor now..
10:33:20: Aaand i just noticed Kat and Lizzie Zobel sitting in front of me in serious discussion.
10:36:13: Windbag stockholder is on the mic. Mercifully short, but still loud.
10:37:17: Motion to approve and ratify increase of capital stock, seconded and carried.
10:38:55: Election of board for ensuing year. Motion to approve, seconded, carried.
10:40:25: Election of auditors. Xavier Loinaz and his distinctive tones explain.
10:42:35: Question from the floor about ue of word "fairly" in audit parlance? Financial exec explains. Motion to approve, seconded, carried.
10:43:18: Open floor for other matters. Whee!
10:44:38: Motion to adjourn meeting, seconded, carried! Merienda time!
11:38:58: Will have early lunch at sm, do maid's shopping, jollibee, home. Knee hurts. Maybe do some retail therapy, haha.
21:59:17: Buchi-cat came home after staying out all night and all day today. Was on the verge of hysterics when she showed up at the window!
21:59:54: Fed her and fussed over her and she's happy. :) I'm a limp noodle, but at least can sleep well tonight!

22:34:18: I caved and bought myself a new Nokia for my Globe SIM. The PLDT LL+ SIM now lives in the Samsung Corby.
22:35:23: The Cherry Mobile has retired and will be kept as an emergency unit. Reading Twitter is a whole *lot* easier on the new phone!
22:37:02: The new Nokia is an X2-01. Have configured display etc, and have been playing games to use up factory charge. *dies*
22:37:27: Will read manual for any Easter eggs I haven't discovered yet. :)
22:39:54: I've really turned into a cloistered homebody. I never knew SM Makati had a Forever 21 section! Pretty stuff.
23:28:17: clicked on a link referencing "belly dance hip-hop". hoboy, i can just hear my joints creaking now. but it is *so pretty* to watch!
23:28:30: and on that note, I hie myself off to bed. ramon has a doctor's appt tomorrow. :)
