Event of the Day: Ayala Land stockholders' meeting. Dad made over his shares to me as an 18th birthday present, and for the past four or five years I've been a regular attendee. As a rule, the meetings are very brisk and orderly, except for the parts when the floor is opened for questions. *grin* Some of those questions aren't just left-field, they are totally out of the ball park at times!

Ramon went rambling via the MRT to see how the new condo developments along EDSA were doing. We met up at North Park Glorietta 5 after the meeting was over, and had ourselves a yummy Chinese lunch...I appear to be on a Chinese food kick this month. Hm. After that, I popped into National Book Store to look at office supplies and notebooks. Will never cease to wonder at the way different branches carry different items or different stocks of items. Ramon went to look at the Philippine war veterans exhibit while I was engaged in comparing journal notebooks.

After I got home, I managed to drop into a long nap that carried me over until dinner. Played around somewhat with my new ebook reader and have come to the conclusion that I need to copy over the manual to the laptop in order to better read the print.

08:27:39: In any case, had a cup of marvelous coffee at the Intercon. Ayala Land stockholders meeting at nine.
08:31:13: Planning on lunch at glorietta 5 after the meeting. Then a peek into some of the shops - it's been a very long time.
08:42:28: JAZA just arrived. Minions in black like hounds on point. :)
08:53:21: Fernando just arrived. Looks a wee bit rushed. Meeting will start soon.
09:05:41: Meeting has started. Minutes approved as read, chairman's message now. PA system at head table meh.
09:06:14: Mic at podium much better.
09:17:33: President's message now, in three parts: 2010 review, 2011 current status and 2011 future plans.
09:18:06: Rocking the powerpoint slides, yo.
09:34:54: Yay, 3rd part of president's message!
09:38:30: AV presentation now on.
09:45:42: Floor open for questions on the annual report. Mr T as usual, breaks the ice.
09:57:35: Highlight of open floor, the very weird people who come up to the mic. @.@
09:59:06: Oh, poor Mr. Laya, having to give a diplomatic answer to this utterly left field question.
10:00:53: Annual report and audited statements approved as read.
10:01:52: And then the bible thumping stockholder stands up to harangue the board. Everyone looking WTF and diplomatic.
10:03:29: Ok, moving right along to approval of resolutions...
10:06:05: Eeee. In house photogs are snapping in my direction. Wonder if i'll be a nameless picture in one of the publications.
10:11:25: Increase in directors' compensation and election of directors completed without further ado.
10:12:41: Election of external auditor and fixing of remuneration also completed without fuss.
10:14:17: Ok, here we go, it's now open floor for other matters. Fun times as weird questions surface.
10:17:36: Motion for adjournment made and carried!
11:03:49: FML. Lost voucher for snack and giveaway. :( OTOH, there's another stockholder meet on monday. :)
11:06:51: Also, can eat a proper lunch now. North park is cool and quiet at thi point in time. Love it.
11:56:02: *burp* oh man, but that wa good lunch. National next to look at binder notebooks.
