Event of the Day: We lost Mocha-cat. Read the tweets below for how things played out. I am still shattered by the loss and the search and having to give up the vigil for him to come out of whatever bolt hole he's got himself into. Had hysterics twice, once on Ramon's shoulder and once in the car (which was the worse of the two, and thank God Ramon was doing the search at the time so that I was alone).
Watching Mama mourn the loss of her cat ranks right up there with the worst moments of my life. Please wish our little cat well, wherever he is right now.
Ramon, bless him, is remaining optimistic about Mocha in a cautious way. Have told him in no uncertain terms that he is to stay home tomorrow and rest after all that he has done today.

Yes, I do hope Mocha is all right. I can't let myself dwell on what he must be feeling/going through, or I will be on the road to a nervous breakdown. Plus, I have a passel of other kitties who need me, can't let them down.
On top of everything, Ma has taken it into her head that I let Mocha loose on purpose. I...I don't even know. Keep telling myself it's because she loves him beyond all reason, and she's 88years old, and the old...well. They have their fancies, sometimes. Dad is all a-swearing over it, but I know from bitter experience there is nothing that can be done when she's like that.
2011 has been some kind of storm season for my emotions/psyche so far. end-Feb, 1st week March, now April 1. *sigh* Nothing to do but deal, of course.
*hugs*

Ma is already blaming me for Mocha's loss, saying I let him out on purpose. *sigh* It is very, very hard to have elderly parents at times like this.
