A little night music
As in, it sounds like karaoke night somewhere nearby. Can't be the construction site across the street, maybe it's that other house that used to be the residence of my former batchmates in elementary school. Mostly what floats over is the music, no one else is singing along. So there's a small blessing the entire street is grateful for, I guess.
We didn't do the Earth Hour thing. As it is, we keep our lights out for more than an hour on a daily basis, and switched to flourescents as soon as they invented the kind you could screw into existing incandescent sockets. Besides, without our lights, our end of the street would look like a memorial park at night - the street light on our end tends to blink on and off, and has done for decades now.
