For those of you wondering about the sudden tweet spam: well, Ramon had to visit the ER last Feb 27th, and was confined for three nights. Total bed rest, said the cardio - but Ramon was ambulant by the time we were to go home. *grin* That is to say, he was ambling like the old grey mare who ain't what she used to be; so the doctor allowed us to go home, on the strict understanding that hubby was to have total rest until March 7 for his blood works, and March 8 for his follow-up appointment, when we will know what happens next.
Ma, bless her, needed as much cheering up as Ramon, if not more, and helped out with the payment of doctor fees and hospital bills. Thank God for two doctors agreeing to share one bill, and Ramon's 20% senior discount (which is far less a red-tape-laden prodcedure than Philhealth, it seems).
Dad? We will not speak of Dad's reaction. At all. In fact, the less said, the better.
We were home March 2nd. As of this writing, I have dealt with laundry (lots and lots of laundry!), changed the bed linens, sorted and labeled the take-home medicines of hubby and set up his dosages for tomorrow (poor man is now totally confused re dosages and times). Caught up on e-mail and Dreamwidth. Caught up on Read It Later list. And so on. Still have a gazillion feeds to catch up on, but can take care of that by judicious weeding before reading.
So...life is good, and we are beyond grateful that things are back to normal. Ramon totally chafing at the bit, but I have told him to accept that his heart just won't agree with the way he feels, and not to try any foolishness.
Have some Oscars-related tweets, which we watched in the hospital. Well, most of it, since Ramon had to go down to the Heart Station for a 2-D echocardiogram after the first few awards. By the time we got back, live telecast was over, and I caught the replay later that night. Personally? I think Kirk Douglas was the best part of the Oscars, bar none. Anne Hathaway and James Franco should stick to acting.

- Hot damn, i do believe kirk douglas has
just PWNED the oscars! - Loved melissa leo's speech! :)
- Mila kunis' lace inserts look like tattoos on her bosoms.
- Aaagh. Really want to see the king's speech soon!
- I like how the get off the stage music is more of a gentle hint
than a loud stomping. :) - Yay! Original screenplay for the king's speech. Both screenplay
winners oscar virgins, haha. - Best screenplay goes to the social network. Ooh, shoutout to
Paddy Chayefsky's film Network. - James Franco in drag at the Oscars! *dies*
- Soundtracks! Where the first three chords tell you all about the
movie. - There must be a lot of consternation in the sound booth. Randy
newman's sound is not coming over well. - So helena bonham carter has played two queens this oscar season.

Can you imagine me dealing with all the logistics of the hospital stay and then...discovering that my cycle started. Way to time it, Auntie Flo! I was definitely woman and my lady bits were roaring great guns.
However, we have ridden the roller coaster and made it safely home. It's a good feeling.

Yup, good feeling for the rest of us too to know you guys made it through. Cheers!

Will continue to pray for you and yours.
Lots of love.

Thank you for your prayers! As you can see from the comment above, it would appear the planetary alignments will give me some room to breathe and recuperate from this latest hiccup.
I too, continue to hold you close in my thoughts, and hope all will be well, and all manner of things be well, for you and yours.

Y'all take care now, y'hear?

Because between Dad muttering about how much it costs to be in the hospital (which I do acknowledge, but it's not like Ramon did this on purpose); and Ramon wanting to do more than the doctor allows, it's enough to drive a girl to drink, it is.
Thank you for the well-wishes, they are much appreciated. And yes, I do intend to take very good care of myself!

While in the hospital I kept getting pulled back into bed by the attending nurses because I wanted to putter around and pretend to be better.
It's machismo plain and simple. Guys want to be cared for and pampered when we aren't really injured but when we have an incident that nearly incapacitates us there is a subconscious trigger that makes us feel that our manhood is threatened by the fact that we are helpless.

*nods* Yup, Ramon's cardio called him out on that when he said he was keeping us in hospital an extra day - Doc wasn't discounting the possibility that Ramon was saying he was fine, just to get his discharge.
Do you know, do you KNOW what hubby did while I was at home making sure everyone else was all right? He visited the ER. FROM THE 8TH FLOOR OF THE HOSPITAL HE RODE THE ELEVATOR AND PEEKED INTO THE ER, I DON'T EVEN...*swoon*...and he did this not 48 hrs after he was admitted into the hospital.
Thank you for allowing me to shout. My feelings have been needing a loud and violent outlet, and all caps is as good as it gets. :)

Ramon has reached that stage where he wants to do just that little bit more than the doctor allows. Oye. Fortunately, all I have to do is mention the word "catheter" and he subsides into pouty-face mode. Poor man, it bugs him to be so inactive, but what else can be done?
Men! *cuddles hubby, who just walked into the office space to hand me a can of potato chips*
