Today was a good day. Popped in the last of the backlog of laundry, and hung up all the clothes that came off the line. It wa a blessedly normal day.

Was in a bit of a disco mood a while ago, so I called up some old hits and not only sang along, I danced along. Proper dancing, not just in the computer chair. :) :) :) Which was a lot of fun. *hums Pink's "I'm Coming Out"*

Was tracking the news today, and I'm not really sure who takes the cake on outrageous statements from the seat of power. Between Trump's White House and Malacanang, it's enough to drive anyone to drink.

Someone put out a tweet featuring the rogue's gallery - ehem! - the photos of the candidates for Senator. Freddy Aguilar made the cut. For the life of me, I don't understand how, unless good moral character is no longer a thing. I mean, the man got himself married to a minor! And Robin Padilla - someone said the man couldn't even judge Pilipinas Got Talent properly, how on earth was he going to be part of government. As for Bato de la Rosa, WHY. WHY.

Long story short, that tweet begat all sorts of reactions, it was quite the epic thing. Many were the exhortations to the public for voters to get registered and do their homework, so that the next Senate voted in will really represent the people.

As for Guiliani's recent statement on truth that sounds like he's been inhaling something? I don't even know where to start.

At least the Americans know where their president is. We're playing "Where's Waldo?" with ours, for real. Three different stories - I kid you not - came out on the state of Duterte's health. Joma Sison said he was all but dead; Bong Go said he was "resting"; and Harry Roque said he looked "fine" as of last Friday, when they met. Your guess is as good as mine.

These are the kind of things that make a person think of contingency plans. But in the meantime life goes on. As it does.
