Taking a short hiatus from Facebook to put some stuff down. Life has been pretty good lately, Dad is in good health, I am in fairly good health, the cats and the rabbits are fine, the household staff is content. Much by way of blessing there, it seems almost scandalous to moan about anything.

But then, that would make me a saint, which I am not, by any stretch of the imagination. :)

Let's see. I've been keeping the maintenance crew busy. There have been renovations to the hall bath; the bathtub is filled in and new tiles and fixtures installed for the shower line. It is the bomb, to put it elegantly.

I had the roof swept and cleaned of leaves, especially on the side of the next-door neighbors (their bamboo plants are generous gifters of dead leaves), and the amount of sunshine that reaches the clothes is a wonderful sight of a morning. One of the workers was nice enough to scrub out some mold that had been forming on the interior ceiling of the laundry area with some soap solution and bleach; so now we have a clean roof and a clean laundry ceiling.

The new washing machine is a blessing. I can load almost double the clothes I used to with the old machine, and it's wonderful.

Sent off a bunch of old furniture to Habitat for Humanity, and the house is breathing deeply, I can feel it. I for one certainly feel lighter. Sent off a bunch of old clothes to charity. Found four dresses (!!!!)_that I promptly hung so I can be seen in public with them, and reorganized my closets.

I have also discovered the joys of online shopping! Have been pretty frugal so far. Except for the new single bed that I bought, I've set a limit of Php 1k for my purchases, and pay COD. Much better for me to pay COD, I can see how much of and where the money goes, and that's a nice reminder. Aside from my new bed, I've got a dressy band for my Fitbit, a reclining chair (not the LaZBoy types, the prices on those are *hideous*) a dashcam, a dongle for transferring files from the dashcam, a new electric fan after my old one died (that was a bit of a large purchase). Little things.

Tne nice thing about online shops is the "wishlist" function. Things I'd like to buy hibernate in there until I think I'm ready to make a purchase. The amount of stuff that gets deleted first! So it's a bit of a three-step process: wishlist, review, purchase. it's fun.

Have also been trying out store delivery functions. Not bad. A person could get used to this.

For nearly a week now, it's been unending clouds and rain, the sun only truly came out today, a sure sign that weather disturbances are out and away, and we are back to normal monsoon weather.

Most of my life is moving online. I do a number of bills payments online, which, if I have nowhere else to go on a day except the bank, is a blessing. That is, until the app has a glitch and one turns paranoid about money getting lost in transit.

That's about the sum of things for now. Gosh, but I missed doing these brain dumps!
