Well, today I had one of those huge epiphanies that makes a person want to commit death by headdesk.
Ever since my trip to Pasig for pet food, I've been wondering if I could find a similar outlet cloaer to home. And then it hits me: CARTIMAR. The source of pets and pet supplies, dry goods, and garden supplies, as far back as I could remember.
Well, the place has certainly changed since my childhood. It's cleaned up rather nice, and wouldn't you know, there's one whole row of feed supply stores in front of the parking slots. And the traffic wasn't so bad getting there, or maybe I was lucky.
So. Got some SmartHeart at 130/kg. Got some 9 Lives and Hana, though only a half kilo each of three variants. The kibble alone came up to 2.5kgs for Php300, which isn't too bad when a 1.3kg of Friskies is at least Php280 or thereabouts. Added six cans of Fancy Feast and the total bill was Php515. Not bad at all. Plus, that tinned Chinese label cat food selling for 80-plus pesos? One stall had it for 55 pesos/can only.
The brats appear to like the SmartHeart. Trust Pixel to eat too much in one go, and throw it up after. *sigh* poor wee bebeh, not that it stops him from eating like a hog.
I was supposed to drop off the barangay census thing, but apparently the people are attending a two-day seminar on gender sensitivity. Backlash from that tempest stirred up by a comment attributed Manny Pacquiao to the effect that he believes in the Levitical method of dealing with gays by stoning?
Only apparently Manny never made the comment to begin with. The writer of the original article never heard Manny use the quote, although writer used the verse himslef to illustrate a point; writer is accusing others of twisting the article around.
Profuse (I think) apologies from the writer and Manny have been made to the LGBT community. Wait for the next exciting chapter!
Heavens but I am sleepy. Time to sign off.
