Hot afternoon. Am in front of two electric fans running at maximum speed, and grateful for moving air. My cycle has just started; thankfully my lady bits are not as fractious as they can be, maybe taking vitamins is having a beneficial effect after all.

Hubby is weirded out that the dominant news is the Tulfo/ Santiago fracas and its attendant fallout. A witness says Tulfo threw the first punches, that the video splattered on YouTube shows events several minutes *after* the initial outbreak of hostilities, as it were. Which has me wondering why Santiago et al apparently reopened hostile actions after that first round? It only made them look really bad; by the way, I still think it was not well done of them to gang up on the older (but hardly wiser) person.

Well, let the chips fall where they may. The whole situation is like a bad telenovela.

The impeachment trial of the Chief Justice has been postponed to Monday, which has hubby snorting in disgust.

Am reading a local travel magazine. I want to bring Ma around to places we've never been, and since traveling abroad isn't a very comfortable option for Ma with her bad hip, am looking for senior-friendly local destinations. The new 2Go Travel outfit seems a good possibility. Off to read more and surf the web.

Feeling fresh after bedtime shower, the house is secure and quiet, and I have made it through another day.

I also forgot to phone pay a bill, but since the due date isn't till next week, I don't need to panic.

It rained for all of five minutes earlier tonight. Humidity went up as a result. It did make it easier to corral all the kittycats for the night, so that was a good thing.

The gardener and Ma's physical therapist come in tomorrow. Have to bring Vicky the maid to the agency so she can pick up some papers, so she'll hitch with us when we drop Cris off at Alphaland.

Need to write out bare bones of publicity plans for that play the historical society is staging, not to mention figure out what to write for th's newsletter. Have had threw days of rest, time to put nose to grindstone.
