Event of the Day: Sunday at the mall. Pentecost and Indepence Day in
one fell swoop.

The medical bulletin on the feline family is that Walker and her baby
BunBun are recovering from the viral epidemic that swept through the
house and made off with Pickles' first litter. (RIP, you four little
darlings!)

BunBun was the most miserable looking of the lot, snot all out of his
poor wee nose and eyes nearly glued shut. Well, eyes are opening, snot
is drying, and most important, is taking an interest in food again.
Walker is being all dainty about it, but she's back to eating as well
after ignoring food for a day.

However, Brioche has a slight fever and all Tartie seems to have done is
sleep today - this is not the active little cat that I know. Therefore,
medications are in order, the same set and dosages as for BunBun, and I
trust all will be well. Tartie, one of the rescue kittens from last
year, has taken over my space on the bed; I'll have to force-feed him
some of that extra-special food to tide him over. He might just be
wanting a marathon nap.

Event of the Day: watch over feline health continues. BunBun, Walker
and Brioche are all eating fairly well. Biskwit and Baguette were only
lightly hit by the viral epidemic - thank God! - and except for phelgmy
sneezing, are as lively as they ever were. Needless to say, the bottle
of Cefalaxin drops is taking a beating with all the twice-daily dosings
of...*counts*...a minimum of six cats. I dosed Pixie, who was starting
"the nose", yesterday, and as of today she is eating with the best of
them. *relief*

As it is, all of the cats are getting their medications as directed. The
healthier ones I am sparing the struggle of dosing with vitamins - just
wait until I use up all those liquids! Paste form is the way to go.
Tartie got the full spectrum again today: Cefalexin, Colloidal Silver,
B-complex with lysine, and Vitamin C. My poor baby, his face was all:
MARMAR DO NOT LIKE THIS Y U HOLD MY NECK IZ PAINFUL...NARRRR...
*sigh*But if he's still lethargic, at least he's not getting "the nose",
and his fever has gone.

Other Event of the Day: general cleaning of the bedroom. Where all
these bits and pieces of dust and what all come from, in the span of a
month, is beyond me. But at least things are clean again and stuff is
where I want it to be for the duration. There seems to be the same
amount of stuff, but somehow the room feels lighter, I don't know.

A long shower with hot water after such an event is a decadent and
sensual thing. Nothing beats cleaning up with antimicrobial soap and
hot water.
