Event of the Day: mostly file maintenance of the DVR. Deleted some recordings, and burned all the keepers onto DVDs. Also, phone paid the bills, which is always a good thing, even if I have no idea how to make it through the next two months; but something will come up. (Note to self, buy a lotto ticket, just for the lulz. The jackpot is pretty big.)

Went to Waltermart and discovered a new Whiskas pouch flavor - Tuna/Whitefish, and Junior Mackarel. Both variants received with much joy by the spoiled chibi-cats. *huge grin* Then back to life as usual, which appears to be returning to the life I used to know...well. Am muttering affirmations to myself every morning that each day will be a blessed day. So far, so good.

• 22:37:36: it seems the house has settled down early; maybe that's a sign I can hit the sack a wee bit earlier than i usually do.
  
• 22:38:28: haven't napped for 3 or 4 days straight, and i'm feeling it. *yawn*
  
• 22:42:51: making spectacular progress reading Mario Puzo's "The Family". going much faster than "The da Vinci Code", definitely!

Event of the Day: steamed in the summer heat, for the most part. Finished, as stated below, two writing requests, one for a Mass community newsletter and one for the historical society I'm involved with.

I even managed to log in a nap, hot as it was; the light sprinkling of rain only served to turn up the humidity almost beyond bearing. Despite that, I managed to be so tired that I *tried* to get to bed early.

Tweaked the arrangement of the DVR, laptop body, and new monitor so that they're all stacked together. The DVR is the base, the laptop body in the middle, and the new monitor on top of that. The external keyboard and mouse have moved to a table of their own, and all is well again.
